A Scots grandad who spent six weeks in intensive care fighting coronavirus woke up from his coma and demanded to know how his beloved Hibs FC were getting on.
Ross Fenwick became unwell at the end of March and had been diagnosed with a chest infection by his GP.But the 63-year-old’s condition rapidly deteriorated and he was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was diagnosed with coronavirus.He was admitted to an intensive care ward just before the UK went into lockdown and battled for his life on a ventilator before being placed in an induced coma.His terrified family, who feared he might die, were left stunned when he woke from his five-day coma and wanted to know his team’s score.Daughter-in-law Siobhan told the Daily Record:
