Scots maternity unit pleads with families to stay away after children found meeting in reception

A Scots maternity unit has issued another warning to stay home after families - including children - were found congregating in the waiting area.

Despite repeated pleas, Ayrshire Maternity Unit were forced to issue yet another appeal to families of pregnant women to stay away from the hospital in order to protect mothers and new babies and hospital staff from coronavirus.

The hospital's instructions come after people were bringing children to the Kilmarnock unit to stand in the lobby and waiting area while their loved one was in labour.

A post on the Ayrshire Maternity Unit Facebook page says: "During this coronavirus pandemic we ask that you help us combat the spread by adhering to our temporary changes to visiting."No visitors are
