A Scots travel retailer, which has seen sales plummet by 95%, has donated 5,000 pairs of specialist socks to help nurses fighting the coronavirus outbreak.
Trtl has given the compression socks to acute nurses at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Royal Alexandra Hospital (Paisley) and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Govan - with each hospital getting around 1,000 pairs.
Another 1,000 will go to the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and 500 pairs each to Dundee's Ninewells and Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The firm donated the knee-length items, worth £25 each (£125,000 in total), and now plans a second donation of 5,000 to nurses in London.
