Scots vets are joining the fight against Coronavirus by donating life-saving equipment that has previously been used on pets.The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies have loaned out four ventilators to NHS Lothian from their centre in Edinburgh.The machines were originally designed for humans but were adapted to help treat sick small animals at their cutting-edge facility.As the ventilators have been cleaned and maintained to a high standard, they can now be repurposed and put to use for human patients during the COVID-19 crisis.The vet school is now closely working with colleagues and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to get unused supplies into hospitals and doctors’ surgeries as soon as possible.The school has also already
