Struggling Scottish clubs have been given a financial lifeline as the SPFL moved forward payments to cover short-term losses.
Friday will mark two weeks since the announcement that football has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, with fears there will be no games played until August.
That has caused financial issues for clubs across the country, with Hearts and Inverness asking staff to take pay cuts. Before the shutdown chief executive Neil Doncaster warned there was no reserve of cash available for clubs, but the SPFL has today looked to help out struggling teams.
