Students who are self-isolating in accommodation due to coronavirus have hit out at universities over food packages they have received.
Some claim they have been given out of date food, and others have questioned the quality of the products the receive. Thousands of students across the UK are isolating due to Covid-19 outbreaks, meaning they have no choice but to stay in their halls or other accommodation for days.
Last month, two students hit out at Edinburgh University, describing conditions at the main halls as "unacceptable, prison-like." Tess Bailie, 18, has called on the university to provide more support.
She told EdinburghLive : "Our first worry was when we realised the university hadn't done enough to mitigate the risk of suicide.
