Customers have been raiding supermarket foodbank donation trolleys in Hamilton as the panic buying continues.Shoppers at Asda have been rummaging through groceries bought for people in poverty from the charity trolleys — and dropping them into their own.The same issue has been occurring at Tesco in Wishaw, our sister paper the Wishaw Press reported this week.Staff at supermarkets have since taken action to ensure that donated items intended for food banks actually reaching poor people who cannot afford to put food on the table.An Asda spokeswoman said: “Staff at our stores have moved food donation trolleys out of the way because customers were walking past not realising the items were for foodbank use and purchasing them.“People will still
