Penneys is to reopen 16 of its stores here tomorrow morning, but the number of customers allowed inside at any one time will be limited to ensure adequate social distancing.
Fitting rooms will be temporarily closed off, as will customer toilets and cafe and beauty concessions in store. Store layouts have been adapted to give more space between people and queuing systems at tills reconfigured. "While it might take a little longer to get into store, once inside, customers will find all their favourite Penneys products and plenty of choice as usual.
We have worked hard to make sure that clear signage and extra help will be there to guide them through the changes we have made to allow for social distancing," said Paul Marchant, CEO of Penneys
