Fraudsters are going door-to-door in Salford with a ‘spraying machine’ that they say can protect the property from the coronavirus.
Housing association Pendleton Together warned residents about the latest scam in a social media post. They wrote on Twitter: “SCAM ALERT - We've been told that someone is knocking on doors in Salford with a spraying machine asking if they can enter and spray inside the property to protect you from the coronavirus.
THIS IS A SCAM - Please DO NOT accept this service and report it to us & the Police.” It is the latest Covid-19 related scam that residents in the city are being told to watch out for.
