The start of the All-Ireland senior football championship has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The GAA have confirmed that due to the current uncertainty created by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Connacht Senior Football Championship meeting between New York and Galway, scheduled to take place in Gaelic Park, New York on 3 May, has been postponed.
The Allianz Leagues and all club activities have already been suspended until 29 March, but it is widely expected that this period of inactivity will now last much longer.
