Matt Hancock told This Morning that summer is effectively cancelled and said "lavish" holidays abroad will not be allowed any time soon.

The Health Secretary told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that “big lavish international holidays” will not be possible as we continue to battle the coronavirus crisis.

Mr Hancock appeared on the ITV daytime programme to clarify a number of new guidelines delivered by the UK government by PM Boris Johnson on Sunday.

The new rules, which only apply to people in England, include a slight relaxing on returning to work and meeting one member of your family.
