Stressed-out brits desperate for a proper holiday can look forward to a break in early July, according to Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden.
Mr Dowden said on Wednesday that “staycations” could be allowed this summer, giving a boost for Brits sick of being trapped inside, as well as a tourism industry that is facing billions of pounds in losses.
Foreign holidays are likely to be impossible except for people with a lot of both time and money, with travel restrictions being imposed, airlines running reduced services, and mandatory quarantines of up to two weeks being enforced being enforced for travellers between many countries.
