Disney fires Gina Carano from ‘Mandalorian’ over Holocaust remark
Disney has cut ties with Mandalorian actor and mixed martial artist Gina Carano after she compared being conservative today to being Jewish in Nazi Germany on social media.“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future,” a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement. “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”Carano’s talent agency, UTA, has also dumped her, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

BERLIN – The German government decided Thursday to temporarily reinstate border controls along its southeastern frontier after designating the Czech Republic and parts of Austria as “mutation areas" due to their high number of variant coronavirus cases, German news agency dpa reported.

Ontario’s unspent pandemic reserves grew to $12 billion by end of September: FAO The FAO says Ontario will have a $35.5 billion deficit in 2020-2021 that is projected to drop to $16 billion by 2024-2025.But the FAO says barring any service cuts or tax increases, the province will continue to have annual deficits at that level going forward.By law, when Ontario is in deficit, it must develop a recovery plan that charts a path to balanced budgets.The province is expected to deliver its 2021-2022 budget by March 31.
