EAST GERMANTOWN - A teenager is in custody after police say a man was stabbed to death during a fight late Thursday night in East Germantown.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters that 14th district officers came upon a fight on the 900 block of East Locust Street.

Investigators say during the fight a 42-year-old man was stabbed at least once in the chest with a folding knife by a 16-year-old. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESOfficer drove the victim to Einstein Medical Center where he died before midnight.

The teenage suspect was arrested and taken to the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit. "At this time we believe the 16-year-old perpetrator does know this 42-year-old vicitm," Small said. "We believe the motive may.

PHILADELPHIA - Police say a man who was shot in the mouth during a mugging Thursday night in Olney is expected to survive after he ran to a nearby bar for help.According to investigators, the 39-year-old victim was approached by two men on the 5000 block of Fairhill Street just before 11 p.m. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters the men stole the victim's cell phone then fired at least three shots. KENSINGTON - Investigators are searching for a gunman after a young man was found shot and killed inside a crashed car Thursday morning in Kensington. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 1100 block of East Tioga Street around 3 a.m. after a driver reportedly slammed into several parked cars.
