Temperatures set to plummet after Easter weekend scorcher

The blazing sunshine has made the coronavirus lockdown even harder to bear this Easter weekend. But that looks set to change from Easter Monday, with forecasters predicting temperatures are going to plummet overnight.

And some parts of the region could even be waking up to frost on Monday morning. The Met Office say Greater Manchester is set for a fairly cloudy day with some sunny spells on Sunday.

Temperatures in the region will peak at 18C at about 4pm. There's also a slight risk of showers tonight. But overnight northesterly winds will see the temperature drop to around 1-2C, with the risk of patchy frost in the early hours.
