Temperatures are set to take a drastic dip from today, putting an end to the hottest April on record. Over the last week Greater Manchester has been basking in temperatures over 20C and dry conditions, prompting concerns the public would defy the UK's lockdown measures.

However, from Tuesday temperatures will dramatically fall and remain cooler until the weekend. It will be a rather murky day in Greater Manchester today, with cloudy and grey skies expected.

A band of rain is edging northwards and there could be some rainshowers arriving by the afternoon. According to the Met Office website it will be 'much cooler than recently', with highs of around 11C.
