Data analysis by the PA news agency shows the latest case rates, for the seven days to March 12, for every local authority area in England.
Of the 315 local areas in England, 121 (38 per cent) have seen a rise in case rates, 190 (60 per cent) have seen a fall and four are unchanged.
Corby in Northamptonshire has the highest rate in England, with 132 new cases recorded in the seven days to March 12 – the equivalent of 182.8 cases per 100,000 people.
