The coronavirus scams to look out for according to the National Crime Agency

The National Crime Agency has issued a warning to the public as scammers try and take advantage of the coronavirus pandemic.

This includes scamming people out of money and their personal information. The NCA has therefore urged people to be wary of a variety of frauds that have emerged during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Tactics used by scammers flagged to authorities has included online shopping scams where people ordered protective face masks, hand sanitiser and other products that were never delivered.

Other people have been targeted by those selling fake testing kits or supposed cures for the virus. More than 200 people have also been victimised by phishing scams.
