Dozens of firefighters are battling a huge moorland blaze near Hebden Bridge. The fire has broken out on the hills between Hebden Bridge and Burnley.

A huge plume of smoke can be seen for miles. Strong winds mean the 200m-long blaze is spreading quickly, firefighters have said.

Crews from Greater Manchester and Lancashire are assisting firefighters from West Yorkshire. In total 40 firefighters plus specialist moorfire teams are at the scene.

The fire broke out near Widdop Reservoir in West Yorkshire, around seven miles to the east of Burnley and 10 miles north of Hebden Bridge.
