All eyes will be on RB Leizpig striker Timo Werner as the Bundesliga returns to action this weekend. The Germany striker has been linked with a host of top clubs and remains linked with a big-money summer transfer.

According to The Athletic, Werner has held ‘personal talks’ with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as well as Manchester United and Barcelona.

His agents have also spoken to Chelsea as he ponders his options. But it is claimed he has narrowed his choice down to two possible outcomes - and concluded he wants to either join Liverpool or stay put for another year.

The striker could see his dream Anfield move derailed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and the financial impact on big-money deals.
