The agent of Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has shot down claims from one of the Egyptian’s former coaches that Real Madrid were in for him two years ago.

Egypt’s former assistant Hani Ramzy has spoken out on a supposed discussion he had with Salah in 2018. It was suggested the talk was centred on an offer the former Chelsea flop had received from the Bernabeu in March of that year.

Salah had enjoyed a prolific first campaign at Anfield, highlighting his talent since arriving from Roma in the summer of 2017.

Reports emerged of interest from Real at the time and Salah ultimately remained with Jurgen Klopp’s team. He went on to pick up the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award for the 2017/18 campaign while also claiming the Golden Boot.
