Tottenham reportedly reversed their call to furlough non-playing staff after Spurs players vented their anger at the decision.
The north London club joined Liverpool in backtracking their plans to use government money via the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme to pay some staff wages.
The scheme entitles businesses to 80 per cent of an employee's monthly wage up to £2,500 and lots are taking up the offer. But wealthy Premier League clubs have been criticised for taking the money when it could be better of used elsewhere.
And according to the Daily Mail, Spurs players also did not agree with club bosses and were said to be angry at the furlough decision.
