Towie star Bobby Norris has shared his experience with horrific homophobic abuse as he addressed MPs today via video link. The reality star is on a mission to change the law in regards to online trolling and implored a committee to address the effect trolls have on mental health.

In doing so he detailed the abuse he has been faced with since first appearing in the public eye on the ITV2 show in 2012, with trolls telling him to kill himself ‘almost daily’ while also launching homophobic attacks at the star.

As part of the government investigation into online abuse Norris spoke to The Petitions Committee about Bobby’s Bill, which aims to make online homophobia a criminal offence.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
