UEFA have warned nations NOT to halt their seasons and insist abandonment places entry to European competition under threat.The football governing body issued a letter to member associations on Thursday after Belgium became the first to declare an end to their 2019/20 season.
That move crowned Club Brugge title winners and also handed a Champions League qualifying spot to runners-up Gent but UEFA have urged against "premature termination".
They are "confident" football can resume in the coming months and are exploring a return to action in July and August, dependent on how the coronavirus pandemic plays out.
If the SPFL were to follow Belgium's lead, Celtic would be declared title winners and earn a place in Champions League qualifying,
