The number of people who have died after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK has risen to more than 36,800. The death toll is up by more than 150 at the same point yesterday (Saturday).
Wales are still yet to report their figures with a delay to the usual announcement from the Department of Health. NHS England has 147 new deaths of people who tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 25,691.
Of the 147 new deaths announced on Sunday 28 occurred on May 23, 40 occurred on May 22 and 12 occurred on May 21. The figures also show 49 of the new deaths took place between May 1 and 20, 16 were in April, and the remaining two occurred in March with the earliest new death
