The daily death toll from coronavirus in UK hospitals has risen by 92 in the lowest Saturday increase since lockdown began. Today's hospital death toll was also the lowest daily rise since May 25 and the second lowest since the start of the UK lockdown on March 25.
On Saturday, a further 75 people, who tested positive for Covid-19, have died in England’s hospitals. In Wales another 10 people died in hospital from coronavirus, in Scotland six more people died and in Northern Ireland one more patient died.
Last Saturday, May 30, the death toll in hospitals rose by 183. The Saturday before, May 23, another 180 patients died, and the Saturday before that - May 16 - another 244 patients died in UK hospitals.
