Dani Ceballos still has plenty to offer Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, according to ex-Gunners boss Unai Emery. The Spaniard brought the creative midfielder to the Emirates Stadium last summer on a season-long from Real Madrid.
But less than six months later, Emery had been sacked and former club captain Arteta had replaced him in the hot seat. Ceballos has had an injury-hit campaign in north London which has affected his form and fitness.
After a bright start to life in a red shirt, Ceballos became more of a bit-part player and looks highly unlikely to remain with Arsenal beyond the summer.
However, while he is poised to return to the Bernabeu when the season ends, Emery feels his quality cannot be underestimated.
