Dozens of Tesco, Asda and Waitrose customers have had their online turkey orders cancelled due to a “technical glitch” just days before Christmas.
Disappointed shoppers took to social media to complain over the weekend after discovering their online orders had been amended without warning.
One shopper said he was sent a box of stuffing instead of a turkey by Britain’s biggest grocer, Tesco. In several other cases, orders arrived without substitutions or a turkey.
Many of the affected customers said they fall under the "vulnerable" category – which means they won’t be able to leave their homes to pick up any last-minute items.
