West Lothian man cheers up care home residents with a tune

A West Lothian man has helped to cheer up residents at his dad’s care home by playing their favourite tunes on his flute.Tommy Davidson visited his dad, former councillor Lex Davidson, at Holmesview Care Home in Broxburn, and serenaded residents from outside the building while he was there.Tommy said his actions have gone a little way to soothing the pain of not being able to visit his dad properly due to the Covid-19 pandemic.He said: “During the last few weeks, life has changed for us all and circumstances means families cannot visit relatives who are living in care homes.“Many of us won’t get to hold our relative one more time due to the Covid-19.
