Multiple Wetherspoon pubs are set to be axed across the UK. Fifteen branches of the Tim Martin-owned pub chain remain on the market but will continue trading as normal until buyers are found.
This includes two Lloyds No. 1 bars. The firm has been vocal throughout the coronavirus lockdown about re-opening as soon as possible - with pubs across most of England to begin trading again on Saturday (July 4).
Mr Martin received backlash after saying his staff should ' go and work in Tesco instead' in a shock video to his employees - in which he u-turned on a 'generous pay package' for all workers in March.
