When will horse racing resume? BHA cannot say as fixtures continue to be cancelled

The suspension of horse racing fixtures has been extended, with no fixed date for their return due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The British Horseracing Authority cancelled all meetings until the end of April and this measure will continue, it was announced today.

The sport's leaders are still working towards having everything in place for a restart when possible, communicating with trainers and racecourses.

BHA Chief Executive Nick Rust said: "We stopped racing in March to protect the health and safety of the public and to limit demands on the NHS.
