Police in the county of Rajasthan reported the alleged sex attack happened last week when the victim sheltered in the school after being taken there by police.

She had been walking for miles and lost her way back to her village before she entered a police station for help on last Sunday.

According to local media, as there was no quarantine centre, officers kept her in a school building for the night. It was there that she was allegedly raped by the three men.
