North Dakota late Sunday, officials said.The Canadian Pacific train derailed around 11:15 p.m. about a mile southeast of Wyndmere in Richland County, Canadian Pacific said in a statement.

No injuries were reported.Officials said 31 of the 70 cars derailed, some carrying hazardous materials, and crews identified a leak of liquid asphalt.

PHILADELPHIA - Asbestos forced students and staff out of one Philadelphia school earlier this month, and now alarming new findings will leave them in limbo for even longer.The School District of Philadelphia says more asbestos, as well as flaking and peeling lead paint, were found in West Oak Lane's Building 21 school during additional inspections.These inspections took place after asbestos was initially found in the schools stairwells and the auditorium on February 28.Students were abruptly moved to remote learning with plans with continue the school year at a temporary Strawberry Mansion location, leaving parents and students very upset."It’s unsafe around here, so how do you expect us to come to Strawberry Mansion when we’re already unsafe at Building 21?" Landlord-tenant officer shoots woman during eviction notice in North Philadelphia, police say

PHILADELPHIA - A woman is in critical condition after an eviction quickly escalated into a shooting at home in North Philadelphia Wednesday morning.Investigators say a Philadelphia County Courts Officer was serving an eviction notice to a husband and wife on the 2100 block of North College Avenue when at least one shot was fired.The officer shot the 35-year-ol woman in head, according to authorities. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.MORE HEADLINES:Police say the woman's husband barricaded himself inside the apartment until medical personnel arrived to help his wife.FOX 29's Jennifer Lee reports the officer remained on scene, and police say the weapon has been recovered.It is unclear what led to the shooting, and if any charges will be announced.This is a developing story.

Troopers say the incident began with an investigation into a carjacking at a detox center in Wilmington on Tuesday afternoon. South Jersey police officer arrested for child sexual abuse material

ATLANTIC COUNTY, N.J. - A local officer has been named a suspect in child sexual abuse case for possessing more than 75 materials, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's office.Christopher Ortiz, 38, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He is a police officer with the Vineland Police Department.Officials say he was found with 76 files of minors engaged in sexually acts uploaded to his Verizon Cloud account.MORE HEADLINES:The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began the investigation after a tip was submitted by Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. Lucky indeed: Dog left paralyzed after being hit by train in Philadelphia finds forever home

PHILADELPHIA - A dog found abandoned and partially paralyzed after being found on SEPTA tracks in Philadelphia has finally found a forever home. The nonprofit organization Philly Rescue Angles made a public cry for help after the dog was found in December. "Someone has literally dumped this poor dog on the train tracks, he has been laying here for two days," the organization said. "He has literally been laying his body down and the train has been going over him." Lucky's spinal cord injury left him unable to use his back legs and an influx of donations helped the organization fund surgery and rehabilitation. RELATED COVERAGEAfter surgery, Lucky began recovery at a foster home as applications to adopt him piled up. Months later, one of the women who helped save his life welcomed him into her family. According to Philly Rescue Angels, the organization received hundreds of applications to adopt him when he was first posted, but once his spinal cord injury was revealed, many people backed out. "This was a long process, but we know Lucky was ghosted by these people for a reason, because now he is where he belongs," the group said on Instagram. The organization says it will continue to financially support Lucky for the rest of his life as he needs monthly medical care, prescriptions and items to help his mobility. A wishlist has been created to help his new family.
