AMC Networks, the cable networks company that operates AMC, IFC, WE tv, BBC America and SundanceTV, on Tuesday reported lower first-quarter earnings, saying U.S.

advertising revenue fell nearly 11 percent in the period, which was affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic in its final weeks, with the second quarter set to see a 30 percent drop.
