An Post has announced that there will be delays to mail deliveries from today as it introduces staggered working time for staff during the coronavirus outbreak.
Ireland's national postal service said in a statement that it regretted any inconvenience to customers but that it needed to introduce staggered working times at local delivery offices to ensure effective social distancing for staff, which would result in later mail and parcel deliveries for some customers from Monday 23 March.
An Post added that customers in receipt of Department of Employment Affairs & Social Protection welfare payments will receive two-week payments starting either today or next Monday, 30 March.
