Andrea McLean says she has finally bounced back from her dramatic health scare earlier this year, which saw the star collapse at home and subsequently being whisked away to hospital. The 55 year old TV presenter, who was previously a staple on Loose Women, spent a worrying week in medical care diagnosed with severe pneumonia, Acute Kidney Injury, and sepsis.
She shared her harrowing experience of losing 80% capacity in one lung but is now on the mend. In an exclusive chat at Nick Ede and Alexandra Burke's Spring Ball event in London, which she admits is her first 'night out' since the ordeal, Andrea told us: "I'm feeling really good now, this is actually my first real night out since it happened," she admitted during her glamorous evening out.
She highlighted that a slower pace of life and lifestyle adjustments have been instrumental in her recovery journey, stating, "It has been quite a long recovery process but I've slowed down my pace of life and I'm feeling really good".The Spring Ball, an event which raises money for stroke charities, was particularly poignant for Andrea, who attended with husband Nick Feeney, following her grandmother's experience with a stroke. "It is a cause close to me, my grandmother suffered a stroke.
So yes, it's an important thing to raise awareness for," she said. Back in February, Andrea alerted her fans of her health crisis and shared that she had been spending time in hospital.
