NEW DELHI : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday said authorities are tracking mobile phones of the people under quarantine to check their movement in an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Delhi Chief Minister said strict action would be taken against those people who are not adhering to the state government's order on home quarantine.
The tracking was being done to ensure people do not violate the quarantine and also identify how many people they contact, Kejriwal Kejriwal said his government has gaven 14,345 phone numbers to Delhi Police today to track their movement, in addition to 11,084 numbers it had shared yesterday.
