BBC medical drama Holby City donates ventilators from set to NHS Nightingale hospital

The BBC have donated fully functional ventilators from the set of medical drama Holby City to be used on real life patients fighting coronavirus infection at the new Nightingale Hospital in London.

The equipment - which is used as props on the hit BBC One show – will help patients fight the killer virus which can attack the lungs and leave sufferers unable to breathe.

Taking to social media on Friday, the BBC revealed that they were taking action to help the national fight against COVID-19 by boosting the equipment at the Nightingale hospital in East London.

A photograph shared by the BBC Studios Twitter account showed equipment being carefully delivered to the mega hospital from the back of a van.
