Nick Knowles has been flooded with messages of support after issuing health update - weeks after missing out on the Strictly Come Dancing final.
The DIY SOS star took part in the BBC One dance contest's 2024 series, but was quickly plagued by injury. The first, to his shoulder, happened away from the ballroom.
He later suffered an injury to his knee, before a decision was made to allow him to dance at the eleventh hour. But he lost his place in the competition alongside dance partner Luba Mushtuk that same weekend after finding himself in the dance-off.
Nick has since offered updates on his recovery. He said at the time of the Strictly 2024 final, which saw Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell lift the Glitterball trophy: "So I can’t be there at the final because I’m only two days out of surgery and it was quite a big operation on my knee - for those that want to know it was a full ACL reconstruction and two meniscus repairs which included harvesting a replacement tendon from my hamstring - and I’m still recovering from the operation to re attach my distal bicep which makes moving on crutches difficult too. "I had to have the operation now to be mobile and ready to start filming on @bbcdiysos at the beginning of February.Lots of rehab and work with physios to come but I will go at it as hard as I did the dance training and success will be managed in stages..." Now Nick has shared a video during his rehab.
