Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

The world’s oldest man has profound words for those separated from loved ones during coronavirus lockdown. Bob Weighton, who also lived through the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918, celebrated his 112th birthday yesterday in isolation as the COVID-19 pandemic grips the world.

But the great grandfather of 25 took it in his stride - and had some inspirational things to say during an interview on Good Morning Britain’s extended hour.

Bob told Piers Morgan and Lorraine Kelly that he and his wife Agnes didn’t see each other for four years when they were courting.

The couple spent time living and working in different continents - with their letters taking up to two months to be delivered to each other.
