Boris Johnson will give a Downing Street Covid press conference at 4pm today, it has been confirmed. The Prime Minister is expected to talk about the return of full in-person classes for 8million school pupils in England from today.
But the press conference risks being derailed if he is asked about explosive allegations overnight by Meghan Markle in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
She accused an unknown royal figure of raising "concerns" about how dark her baby's skin would be, and said she contemplated suicide.
No10 has previously refused to comment saying the allegations are a matter for Buckingham Palace. The press conference is earlier than the usual 5pm due to internal diary considerations in No10.
