Brit couple stranded in paradise due to coronavirus – and hotel is £5 a night

Zuzana Barancova and Jeff Yip, from Staffordshire, have been left stranded in paradise – but it's not all bad news.The pair have been enjoying long walks along the river and spotting wildlife in the village of Buki Lawang in Indonesia.After the Asian travels were cut short when the pandemic began, the couple were forced to stick around.While waiting for a flight back home, Zuzana and Jeff are spending £5 a night on their hotel and only £1-£2 on food each meal.

Jeff, 37, told StokeOnTrentLive : “It's been over two months now and we are still waiting to hear about our flight situation and Indonesia is still closed for tourism. "Although it's not what we had planned, we were happy to stay in Bukit Lawang as the UK announced.
