Brit holidaymakers face booze-free Spain trips as bar owners shut up shop

Holidays to Spain could be very different following the coronavirus crisis as hundreds of bars face closure after being "killed" by the lockdown.

Owners are being forced to sell at hugely reduced prices after the coronavirus lockdown hit them hard, it has been reported.

Prices for bars have been lowered by as much as £40,000, according to Euro News Weekly. It could mean venues are forced to close completely if no buyers are found - meaning there could be a lot less booze on offer when Brits are eventually allowed to go back out to Spain on holiday.

One bar owner, who asked to remain anonymous, said he had slashed his prices by £20k, but has seen others doing double this.
