Steel Magnolias star Carol Sutton died aged 76 after a battle with Covid-19. The actress had been fighting Covid-19 for the past few months while at the Touro Infirmary in New Orleans.
She died from complications on Friday night. New Orleans mayor LaToya Cantrell broke the sad news on Saturday. The statement read: "Carol Sutton was practically the Queen of New Orleans theater, having graced the stages across the city for decades. "The world may recognize her from her performances in movies and on TV — whether it’s Treme or Claws, or Runaway Jury or Queen Sugar.
