Children’s play areas across Bolton and Bury are to be closed in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus. Council bosses in Bolton have also decided to shut the town’s parks and libraries until further notice.
They said the decision had been made ‘in light of the latest government guidance on social distance’. Parks in Bury remain open, but children’s play areas will be taped off.
People are being asked not to use the equipment and keep their distance from others. Bury Council tweeted: “Our parks are still open, but we are taping off children's play areas today to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
