Coronation Street's Alex Bain supports former co-star after branding 2024 a 'whopper' amid soap 'exit' rumours

Coronation Street star Alex Bain was out supporting his former co-star amid rumours he's set to leave the soap himself this year.

The actor, known for playing Simon Barlow in the ITV soap, ended his year by heading to catch the pantomime. He headed to King George's Hall in Blackburn for their production of Aladdin starring former soap star Tristan Gemmill.

The actor, who played Weatherfield's Robert Preston from 2015 to 2019, has starred as Abanazar in the panto throughout December.

And Alex went to watch his last show and was clearly impressed by what he saw. Taking to his Instagram Story, the soap star posted a picture of the stage and wrote: "Fantastic pantomime of Aladdin to end the year!" Dream Wife bassist Bella Podpadec has launched exclusive limited edition merch to help crowdfund their top surgery.They took to the band’s official Instagram today (January 26) to share that they have created a very limited edition blue t-shirt which features a pink unicorn playing the bass and the words “Not my body, I am somebody” (a line from Dream Wife’s 2018 song ‘Somebody’) on it as a way to raise money for their top surgery.The tee is priced at £25 and exclusively available on the band’s Bandcamp page.
