Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote shares update on rare health condition
Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has given followers an update on her rare skin condition while on holiday. The actress, who played Katy Armstrong in the ITV soap, has previously opened up about her experience with Vitiligo, a condition caused by a lack of melanin in the skin.
Taking to her Instagram stories, she shared a photo of the pale patches of skin on her wrist which have developed as a result of the condition.
She pointed out that it is unknown what has caused the condition and that there is no cure for it. She also shared a video, where she told followers: ‘So many new patches appearing on this holiday. ’However, she noticed that she wasn’t the only person with the condition. ‘And you know what I’ve seen someone on the last two holidays with it. ’ She added. ‘To say it only affects 1% of people I don’t believe. ’She pointed out that she had also developed patches on her left wrist, and promised to do a Q&A for followers about the condition.
Georgia has been very open about living with Vitiligo, and took to her Instagram stories in 2022 to explain the condition. ‘Two years ago I noticed 2 little white patches on my skin that appeared to mirror both sides of my body,’ she said. ‘2 years on and a final diagnosis from a dermatologist I now know I have something else.
