Police responded to the 200 block of Allentown Road in Franconia Township just before 11 p.m. for a report of a crash.When officers arrived on scene they found a 2016 BMW sedan had veered off the road and crashed into a nearby home.

The car had become fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters battled the fire and the flames did not spread to the home.MORE HEADLINES: The driver of the car, identified as a 16-year-old from Sellersville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Five people who were inside the home at the time of the crash were not injured. The Franconia Township police department is investigating the cause of the crash.

2 men sought in several strong armed robberies at King of Prussia Mall, police say

UPPER MERION, Pa. - Two Philadelphia men are wanted for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise from high-end retail stores at the King of Prussia Mall over the last several months. PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are investigating two deadly broad daylight shootings in Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon that they say happened just 10 minutes apart.The spate of deadly violence happened just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Gratz Street and Susquehanna Avenue when police say two people were shot. COLUMBIA, S.C. - Convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh is facing federal charges for the first time after being indicted on 22 financial fraud charges over allegations that the disgraced former attorney schemed to steal settlement money from clients.The indictments unsealed Wednesday don't appear to reveal any new allegations against Murdaugh, a once prominent attorney in South Carolina who is serving a life sentence without parole for killing his wife and younger son. Frankford High School expected to remain closed next year after asbestos discovery

PHILADELPHIA - As several Philadelphia schools continue to struggle with asbestos, at least one is already likely to stay closed to students and staff all of next year as well.Frankford High School first closed its door last month after asbestos was discovered on school grounds, including on the first floor where the cafeteria is.
