Naturalist Chris Packham says governments should have prepared for Covid-19 and told how the outbreak will “change our planet”.
The BBC Springwatch host said: “We have to protect ourselves better. We’ve been exposed for being vulnerable. “It is hurting us.
We are not stupid and things will not be the same afterwards.” Chris, who presented a TV documentary about the Earth’s ability to sustain its soaring population, believes the crisis was foreseeable.
The 58-year-old said: “It was inevitable that something like this would come out of the woodwork and threaten us. “We should have known something like coronavirus was coming. "We should have had the ventilators in hospitals, and work on the vaccines at early stages so they could be adapted.
