Coffee chain Costa has become the latest retail giant to announce the closure of all of its branches - with more than 2,000 to shut until further notice.

The company said all all shops will close their doors at the usual time on Monday - and will reopen in line with government guidelines.

Hospital branches will remain an exception, the coffee giant said, adding that it will continue to provide free drinks to all NHS workers for the next two weeks.

A further one million coffee cans will be sent out to thousands more key workers from Monday as schools close across the country under emergency measures.
